Millions of travellers every year land at Piraeus harbour. How to supply them with transport information, and streamline their conveying? A major economic and ecological challenge.
Gradually managing people’s transportation, linking up ecological issues into mobility lines of thought, and getting non-motorized callers updated with means of transportation they can use: so many steps taken so as to soften road traffic and improve connexions between Athens and Piraeus port. That was one among more goals of SEATOLAND. Test results proved promising indeed.
Among the operations performed, a peculiar one is definitely measurable: two computer terminals are now available to passengers disembarking at Piraeus and willing to go back and forth or journey the region. They can access on-line web pages for a quick orientation about conveyances and tourist facilities
